What is supplemental insurance?

Supplemental insurance products provide cash benefits for specific covered events and illnesses, which can help cover out-of-pocket expenses you may have that your health plan does not cover. These products are designed to complement your medical coverage and pay benefits in addition to whatever your medical insurance may pay. When you submit a claim for your supplemental benefits, the approved benefit will be paid directly to you and can be used however you want. We realize your medical plan does not cover expenses that you might incur outside of the hospital (such as mortgage payments, car payments, meals, etc) so these benefits are geared to help you cover those expenses too!
